Beyond the Indus
India, the land beyond the Indus, is frequently viewed as an exotic locale that’s full of temples, snake charmers and maharajas. All of those things exist, but India is also a country that transcends neat cliches. The truth is that the old cliches coexist alongside commercial growth, technological development, and rapidly growing cities. For me it’s the challenge of capturing the texture of life, created by these contradictory elements, that has continually drawn me back to the subcontinent.
